Bright Nights is the Utica Zoo’s Premiere Holiday event that runs on weekends from the end of November through Christmas featuring all sorts of holiday fun such as caroling, food trucks, hot drinks, Santa, and numerous light displays!

In 2020 – the inaugural year of Bright Nights at the Utica Zoo – the event was presented by Theresa Flemma and Jason Topi at BAIRD to benefit the Utica Zoo animals and the Greater Mohawk Valley.

During the 2020 running of this event, we had music, carolers, food trucks, hot drinks, a nightly reading of “T’was the Night Before Christmas”, everyone’s favorite jolly man in the red suit, and much more!

Some of our light and decor displays included:
  • Bright Nights Entrance: Bright white lights archway and Snowmen to welcome you to Bright Nights!
  • Gumdrop Candy Land Cottage
  • Farming Elves
  • Caroler’s Performance Stage/lighted Caroler’s
  • Penguin Pond
  • Peaceful Deer
  • Mr & Mrs. Claus at the North Pole
  • Construction Elves
  • Jolly Snow Family
