At the end of April every year, the Utica Zoo likes to celebrate the Earth with our Party for the Planet. In previous years, we have featured volunteer days and more, but starting in 2023 we will be embracing the theme of the event to its fullest! On April 29th from 10am until 3pm, we will be featuring multiple booths highlighting conservation oriented organizations for everyone to learn from and enjoy. From the Solid Waste Authority to ice cream from Hood Dairy to a table about pollinator gardens by NYPA to farms and gardeners and more, the Utica Zoo is determined to make this event the Party that it should be. So mark your calendars to come to the zoo at the end of the month to help us celebrate the planet and everything we can do to make it a healthier, happier place to live on!

This event is rain or shine! With the impending weather, the event items have been moved to indoor spaces including our New Visitor Center and our Auditorium. The zoo itself is still primarily outdoors, so be sure to pack a raincoat/windbreaker!

Featured Organizations/Booths:

Oneida County Soil and Water Conservation

More Booths Will Be Announced As They Get Confirmed!

While Here Don't Forget to Visit our Concession Stand:

Due to needing time to set up for our Wine in the Wilderness Event, on June 3rd the zoo will be closing to the public at 1pm! We will reopen our doors at 6pm for the event! Event tickets will still be purchasable at our gift shop during this time!
