In celebration of Earth Day, the Utica Zoo participates in Party for the Planet, which is an event all about conservation and helping our environment! This year on May 14th, we’d like to welcome volunteers to help us with various projects around the zoo to clean up from the Winter, beautify our grounds, remove trash, and plant gardens! In order to be an individual volunteer, you must be 18+. For groups with individuals younger than 18, you must contact the Utica Zoo (kathleen.mcgill@uticazoo.org) in order to see if there are any special projects available for participation and a supervision ratio is required. This is a one time volunteer opportunity, but staff will be on site to answer questions about future volunteer opportunities as well! Participation in a 2 hour volunteering slot qualifies each individual volunteer to receive a day pass for a return visit to the Utica Zoo!
