Zoo Adventures
Rate: Child (Ages 2-5 Years) – $10
Duration: 30-45 Minutes
Join us as we explore the wonderful world of animals! Each session includes a craft, activity, storybook reading, and new animals to meet! Zoo Adventures classes are geared towards learners ages 2 to 5 years. The fun starts at 9:45am in our Visitor Center and runs for 45 minutes.

- Sunday, July 6 – Quickest Critters (K-ESS3-1)
Our world is full of speedy critters, but which is the fastest of them all? Is it a cheetah or a bird? Join us as we explore some of the planet’s quickest animals, learning how they use their speed to help them survive in the wild. - Sunday, July 27 – Dino Adventure (P-LS3-1)
Utica Zoo recently adopted 15 new animals…prehistoric ones! Come explore the animals of the past in this Jurassic-sized journey throughout the zoo. Learn how the dinos lived, where they all went, and what we know about them today. - Sunday, August 10 – Monkey Business (P-LS1-1)
There’s no business like monkey business, especially at a zoo! Come learn about all the primates of earth, from tiny mouse lemurs to jumbo sized gorillas! We will explore their habits, habitats, and some of the problems they are facing today. - Sunday, August 24 – New York Natives (P-LS1-2)
Nature is all around us, even in our own backyards! New York is home to a whole host of plants, animals, and fungi, so it’s important to learn what they are and how they live. Come learn about all of our neighbors who we share this great state with.
