Steet Ponte Auto Group Donates $25,000 to the Utica Zoo

The Utica Zoo is thrilled to announce a $25,000 donation from the Steet Ponte Auto Group, a valued partner and supporter of the community. This generous contribution marks a significant milestone in the zoo’s continued efforts to upgrade its exhibits and educational programs.

The donation will directly support ongoing projects and initiatives at the zoo, including improvements to animal habitats, expanding educational initiatives, and enhancing the overall visitor experience. This partnership underscores the shared commitment of the Utica Zoo and the Steet Ponte Auto Group to the high standards of quality of life in our community and providing educational opportunities to people of all ages.

“We are incredibly grateful to Steet Ponte Auto Group for their generosity and commitment to our mission,” said Andria Heath, Executive Director of the Utica Zoo. “This donation helps ensure the Utica Zoo will continue to provide a great destination for local families and tourists alike.  We’re proud to be a part of what makes the Greater Mohawk Valley such a great place to live, play and learn and we thank Steet Ponte for their support”

Steet Ponte Auto Group, a family-owned business with a strong legacy in the Mohawk Valley, has been a champion for community-focused initiatives for decades.

“We are very excited to be a part of the Utica Zoo! The positive impact the Zoo has had on the Utica area (and beyond) is only growing,” said Carly Steet Mathias, Digital Marketing & Communications Manager of Steet Ponte Auto Group. “As a family owned and operated Auto Group, we know the importance of supporting our local institutions that have continued to provide a fun and safe place for families of all ages to enjoy.”

The Utica Zoo remains committed to its mission of inspiring connections to wildlife through conservation education and fun that matters. The partnership with Steet Ponte Auto Group is just one example of how the community is coming together to support local institutions that make a difference.

The Utica Zoo is a not-for-profit and contributions are tax-deductible. The months from October through March are extremely challenging as the care of the animals incur additional costs yet the daily admission and event revenue is less.  For more information about the Utica Zoo or to learn how you can contribute, visit www.uticazoo.org/donate.
